As someone who fasts every year during Ramadan it got me thinking: ‘how do those in unique situations do it?’ So I reached out to a NBA player, a flight attendant, and a Mosque in Iceland and asked them to document their experiences and share with me what lengths they go through to practice their faith.

Tales of faith, strength, and perseverance.

Ramadan is a month in Islam where Muslims abstain from food and drink from sunrise to sundown. I wanted to know the obstacles people faced who were in changing time zones, a country where the sun never sets, and someone who’s literal job it is to work out and push their body to the limit.
